Jayden Goosen - National Competitive Karting Driver:
Jayden Goosen a ten year old grade 4 scholar at the Poort primary school started his karting career in March 2016 at an indoor karting facility.
Jayden managed to record average lap times of 19 seconds constantly at the indoor facility. In July 2016 Jayden was offered an opportunity to display his talent, passion and dedication on an open karting track at Zwartkops Raceway, and the outcome was overwhelming in confirming his potential to compete with the best in karting. Just one year in karting and after many trials and tribulations and with the support of his sponsors, Jayden outclassed on a regular basis more experienced drivers in his Micro Max karting categorie, thus proving his potential to become the Rotax Max African Open Champion in the very near future to represent South Africa overseas.
Competing against 18 to 24 drivers at different races Jayden achieved for 2017:
Overall 4 th position for Club Championship
Overall 5 th position for Regional Championship
Overall 7 th position for National Championship
